UPDATE 10.11.2021: Coronavirus Disease COVID-19: Corona passport requirement as of 12 November 2021 at 06:00 am

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Protocol Department, presents its compliments to all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consulates accredited to Denmark and to International Organisations and Other Missions resident in Copenhagen and Honorary Consulates in Denmark and has the honour to share the following information:

On 9 November 2021, the Danish Government and a majority of the Epidemics Committee of the Danish Parliament agreed to classify Covid-19 as a disease presenting a “critical threat to society” due to the recent rise of infection rates in Denmark. The decision was made after involving and per recommendation of the Epidemic Commission as well as relevant health authorities.

The classification of Covid-19 as a disease presenting a “critical threat to society” will become effective on 11 November 2021 and last for a month until 11 December 2021.

Moreover, it has been agreed to enforce the requirement of the corona passport in several settings. This requirement will become effective on 12 November 2021 at 6.00 am. The requirement of the corona passport will apply until 10 December 2021.
