The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Protocol Department, presents its compliments to all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consulates accredited to Denmark and to International Organisations and Other Missions resident in Copenhagen and Honorary Consulates in Denmark and has the honour to share the following information as per the attached:

Effective 29 March 2022, there are no longer any restrictions relating to COVID-19 for persons entering Denmark.

The entry restrictions have been gradually relaxed and now the final restriction is lifted. Since 1 March 2022, the only remaining COVID-19 entry restriction has been a requirement for testing within 24 hours after entry into Denmark for persons who are neither vaccinated with a recognized vaccine nor previously infected and who enter Denmark from countries outside the EU and Schengen zone. This requirement will be lifted effective 00:00 on 29 March 2022, after this time there will no longer be any COVID-19 restrictions on entry into Denmark.

The Danish authorities continue to closely monitor the infection situation in Denmark and abroad, including in relation to new virus variants of concern. As part of these emergency response efforts, the “emergency brake” can be activated if virus variants of concern arise. The emergency brake is currently not activated for any country.

As always, information will be available on https://en.coronasmitte.dk/.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Protocol Department, takes this opportunity to renew to all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consulates accredited to Denmark and to International Organisations and Other Missions resident in Copenhagen and Honorary Consulates in Denmark the assurances of its highest consideration.
