Joint Nordic Evaluation of Contributions to Trust Funds

This joint evaluation of the contributions of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden through trust funds managed by the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund (UNMPTF), the World Bank (WB), and the African Development Bank (AfDB), with a focus on trust funds supported by at least three Nordic donors. The evaluation examined whether trust funds offer a good opportunity for advancing the policies of the Nordic countries, supporting the multilateral system, and creating development results. The evaluation was carried out by an independent team from PEM consult, and was based on an overall portfolio analysis of support to trust funds, an institutional analysis of the systems and approaches of each of the Nordic donors, and case studies of 15 trust funds with field visits to Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia.
