Purpose and Approach

Business Partnerships targets the initiation and scaling of businesses that deliver both commercial results and development impact. The instrument supports partnerships where multi-actor collaboration is key to overcoming market barriers and strengthening framework conditions. A strong and viable business case is a core requirement for a partnership to receive funding.

Each partnership must include at least:

  • One international commercial partner
  • One non-commercial partner
  • One local partner

Application and Eligibility

Business Partnerships operates as a challenge fund with two annual calls for proposals.

Deadline for applications in the first call is 6 November at 13:00 CET.

The next call will be in the spring of 2027.

The instrument supports projects in OECD DAC eligible countries with a Danish representation.

Management and Guidance

The instrument is managed by an external fund manager. The fund manager provides guidance on funding opportunities and application processes.
