Purpose and Approach

Innovation Bridge supports partnerships that develop and test private sector solutions to address public sector challenges in developing countries. The instrument aims at promoting solutions that can be adopted by public authorities and scaled for wider impact.

Each partnership must include at least:

  • One international commercial partner
  • One local public sector authority

A non-commercial partner can be included if needed.

The instrument complements Danish development initiatives that engage public authorities, including Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) and other bilateral programmes.

Application and Eligibility

Innovation Bridge operates as a challenge fund with two annual calls for proposals.

Deadline for applications in the first call is 20 November at 13:00 CET.

The next call will be in the spring of 2027.

The instrument supports projects in OECD DAC eligible countries with a Danish representation.
