Position: Full time Chef, Embassy of Denmark in Washington, D.C.
Type of employment: Full time employment for 3 years on a local contract with the possibility of extension.
Starting date: As soon as possible.

The Embassy of Denmark in Washington, DC has an opening for a full time chef to join the Embassy’s Administration Department. You will be part of the team running the residence. The team consists of a residence Host/Administrative assistant, Cleaning assistant and the Ambassador’s assistant. The residence hosts representative events that among other things includes breakfasts, lunches, dinners and receptions for politicians, companies and other high level contacts. The residence is also used for cultural events to promote Danish design, music, art and architecture. The Administration Department is responsible for maintaining the Embassy building and the surroundings together with providing professional service and transportation for the Ambassador, Embassy staff and guests.
Main tasks and responsibilities as Chef
Your day will be planned daily together with the Ambassador and residence staff. Working hours will be flexible depending on activities in the residence and Embassy and will include working during evenings.
