Do you possess a natural talent for communicating clear and concise messages to various target groups using different media outlets? In addition, do you want to promote Danish strongholds within green transition and sustainable solutions? Then perhaps you are our new Strategic Communications Advisor.
The Consulate General of Denmark in Chicago is looking for a talented communicator to promote The Trade Council in North America’s energy and environment activities and opportunities in Danish and U.S. media outlets, as well as attract Danish companies to explore their export potential across the Atlantic.
Based in Chicago, you will play an instrumental role in the Energy & Environment Team and be an integrated part of the marketing and communication team, which consists of a PR & Communications Advisor in Houston and two interns in Chicago and Houston, respectively.
The Strategic Communications Advisor will lead strategic communications efforts related to the Energy & Environment’s export initiatives in North America. In this role, your primary focus will be to:
The position requires an employee who has strong communicative skills and can launch initiatives that create positive attention in Denmark and the U.S. about our energy and environment efforts in the U.S. The candidate should possess an independent drive along with a positive, curious, and proactive attitude when engaging in new tasks. Being able to manage relations with a broad range of stakeholders is essential. As the work pace is subject to fluctuation, the candidate should be able to maintain a clear perspective and a flexible mindset in stressful situations.
