Are you a Danish company exploring opportunities in emerging markets? The Business Explorer programme supports early-stage feasibility studies to help you assess commercial potential before investing.
Business Explorer provides matching grants of up to DKK 500,000 for activities directly linked to a concrete business opportunity. This includes:
• Market and feasibility studies
• Partner identification
• Regulatory and standards analysis
• Scoping and market entry assessments
The programme targets Danish companies in the early exploration phase, focusing on evaluating the commercial viability of projects in developing and emerging markets.
Building on the former Danida Innovation & Business Explorer (DIBE), the Business Explorer is open for applications on a rolling basis.
Deadline for applications this year is 6 November at 13:00 CET.
Applications are assessed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who evaluates both the company’s financial and organisational capacity and the quality of the proposed project. The instrument supports projects in OECD DAC eligible countries with a Danish representation.
In 2026, the instrument is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who provides guidance on the application format and process.
Please access the application guidelines here for information on how to apply:
