What happens when technology rewrites the rules of international politics? That’s the question you’ll be working on every day as a political intern with Denmark’s TechPlomacy team in Silicon Valley.
Denmark was the first country in the world to appoint a Tech Ambassador – and that gives us a unique position at the table. You’ll feel it when we sit down with big tech corporations, Stanford, or the representatives of other leading nations. Right here, at the global epicenter of technology and innovation, we work on the issues that will shape the future of foreign policy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Analyze technology trends and their consequences for Danish foreign and technology policy
- Contribute to the planning and execution of specific TechPlomacy projects
- Support the team in maintaining our Silicon Valley network – tech companies, think tanks, Stanford, Berkeley, and international representations
- Research and draft input for mission reports and policy briefings
- Support the preparation of ministerial visits and international consultations
- Pitch in across the mission when needed – including practical support at events, delegation visits, and other team priorities

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’re analytically strong and genuinely curious about the intersection of technology and politics. You’re comfortable with complex subject matter, write well in both Danish and English, and thrive working independently under tight deadlines. We primarily look for students from political science, international relations, law, or similar fields – and especially those with ambitions in diplomacy, tech policy, or international affairs.
